Six criteria and their weights
Every payment method on CashierRank receives a score from 1 to 10 on six criteria, which are then combined into an overall rating using fixed weights. Withdrawal speed carries 25% because it is the factor players care about most and the one that varies most between methods. Fees carry 20%, covering deposit, withdrawal, loading and currency conversion costs across the provider and the typical casino. Availability carries 20% and reflects how many of our covered countries and how many casinos support the method. Bonus eligibility carries 15%, because exclusion from welcome offers is a real cost. Privacy carries 10%, measuring how much of your financial life the casino and your bank can see. Mobile experience carries the final 10%, based on app quality and in-cashier convenience on a phone.
How each criterion is scored
Withdrawal speed is scored from the provider's settlement time after casino approval: minutes score 10, under 24 hours 8 to 9, one to three days 6 to 7, one to five days 4 to 5, and deposit-only methods, which force a bank transfer, 3. Fees combine provider charges and conversion spreads, with free-at-both-ends methods at 10 and methods carrying carrier fees of up to 10% at the bottom. Availability counts supported countries from our list of twenty and typical casino acceptance. Bonus eligibility uses three bands: eligible, usually eligible and often excluded. Privacy reflects what appears on your bank statement and what the casino receives, from very high for cash vouchers to low for cards. Mobile considers the provider's app, in-cashier flow and authentication. Scores are set by the editorial team by consensus and recorded in a single shared dataset.
Data sources
Our facts come from the payment providers' own published terms and fee schedules, regulator publications such as licence conditions and payment rules, casino cashier pages at a sample of licensed operators in each market, and our team's direct testing of deposits and withdrawals. Where a fee or limit varies by casino, we quote the typical range rather than a single figure and say so. Where a withdrawal is not possible, we state that the method is deposit-only and explain where winnings go instead. We do not use user-submitted reviews as a data source, because they cannot be verified, although reader corrections are welcome and are checked against primary sources before any change.
Update cycle
The complete dataset is reviewed at least twice a year, and individual entries are updated whenever a material change occurs: a regulatory shift such as a new credit card ban, a provider changing fees or withdrawing from a market, or a method launching withdrawals. Country pages are reviewed when the regulatory status changes, which we track through regulator announcements and industry sources. Each update is recorded internally with the date and the source, and the translated versions of the site are updated from the same dataset so that a score is identical in every language. If you notice a figure that is out of date, the contact page explains how to report it.
Conflicts of interest
CashierRank earns commissions from affiliate links, and we manage the resulting conflict in three ways. First, scores are calculated from the criteria above and recorded before any commercial consideration; commercial partners cannot see, influence or purchase a score or position. Second, affiliate relationships are disclosed on the pages where links appear and in our terms. Third, editorial staff do not hold financial interests in payment providers or operators we cover, and any team member with a prior employment relationship with a provider does not set that provider's scores. We do not accept paid placements, sponsored rankings or advertorials. If we ever fail to meet these standards, we would rather be told than find out from a reader.
